Five years and it’s now a full time job.

What was your first DJ gig like?

I started my first dj gig at The pool KL when I was 19 years old. It was an awesome night and a lot of my friends came to support me.

What do you enjoy about DJ-ing?

I enjoy doing live mash-ups and keeping the crowd engaged and enlivened with the music throughout the set.

Describe a normal day in your life as a DJ.

Eat, sleep, gym, repeat.

What are the challenges you face as a DJ?

To stand out from the masses and to make the profession unique.

Besides great sets and creativity, what else do you need to in order to be a prominent DJ?

The right attitude and confidence.

What are your beauty and fitness rituals to look in tip top shape?

I believe in lots of sleep as my beauty regime. For fitness, I love to do Muay Thai and work on my core with circuit training.

As a DJ, what do you spend most of your money on the most?

Equipment and attire.

What do your friends and family think of your career as a DJ?

They fully support my career choice. I’ve just signed with Lion Music Group and am working on my new single which will be out in 2017.

What is your ultimate satisfaction as a DJ?

I love music and I get to share music that I love with lots of different people.

How did you find yourself in the occupation of a DJ?

I have always wanted to be a DJ as I have always loved music. I thought it would be interesting to take something I love to another level and share it with everyone else specifically those who have supported me in this career. Some may state that being a female DJ is very challenging in this entertainment industry and there were many doubts too but with the love and support from my family and friends, I can proudly say that I am happy with where I am today.

How do you keep up your popularity in an industry that’s always filled with new DJs and celebrity performers?

It’s tough to maintain a standing. You definitely need a good team and need to have a good attitude and work hard. I believe becoming an artist will help me stand out and advance my DJ-ing career.

What’s your ultimate goal as a DJ?

I’m planning to focus more on music producing in order to be able to secure more regular gigs. From there, I’ll be able to expand my career by creating my own tracks, remixes, mash-ups and more to create live shows that stand out from the crowd.

How much longer do you see yourself doing DJ-ing gigs in future?

I see myself expanding into a brand and working hard on other areas, but still DJ-ing as well.

What did it take for you to get to this level as a DJ?

A lot of practice and passion for DJ-ing. Almost everyday I work on my playlists and technique to get better.

What’s your advice to aspiring DJs?

Follow your dreams and don’t listen to anybody who says that you can’t do it. If you really love DJ-ing, put in the time to get better and work harder.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
