Joe Flizzow, a Malaysian rap icon who represents Kartel Records, produced the series 16 Baris. Joe came up with the concept of producing a rap cypher show when he initially started his barbershop (a rap cypher show, for the uninitiated, is a rap battle-like performance where rappers perform a friendly battle).
Undoubtedly, the series also has its own fans, especially those who love rap and hip-hop music.
However, who would have thought that apart from being able to attract fans throughout Malaysia, the 16 Baris series has also gained a new fan base.
The fan is not an ordinary fan since he is the one and only Snoop Dogg.
Recently, Snoop Dogg shared an IG Story via his official Instagram account. It featured a picture of him praising one of the videos from the 16 Baris series that he watched via YouTube.
The Instagram Story uploaded by the world-famous rapper turned out to have excited the show’s founders, Joe Flizzow and Wong Shi Jay, Bunga and Noki, the rapper who performed in the episode.
Stepping into Joe Flizzow’s Instagram account, they had the opportunity to hold a Zoom call session that took place that same morning.
We are still unclear on what was addressed in the Zoom conversation however it might be possible that a future collaboration with the world-famous rap artist will take place. Well, that’s what we hope at least.
Let’s just hope that we might hear some good news soon.
