Plantronics headphones are always a joy to review as they have never let us down with their audio quality and their portable features. This time, the Backbeat GO 605 bring us more of that audio goodness with the added touch of being wireless.
Design and Usage
Straight out of the box, the Plantronics BackBeat GO 605 is a navy wireless over the ear headphone. It comes with lightweight memory foam ear cups which helps isolate passive noise which lets you focus on your music better. On the right side of the headphone, you can find the slider which controls the power button as well as the Bluetooth connectivity. There is also a button for receiving calls as well as turning on the Bass Boost function.
On the left side, you will be able to see the volume controls as well as the USB jack for charging as well as the audio jack for you to connect to your devices if you run out of battery for wireless usage. The playback functions are also accessible on the flat side of the headphone making it easy for users to change or pause music while on the go.
As far as bells and whistles go, the Plantronics GO Backbeat 605 does not overwhelm you with much but just enough for the optimum user. On a single charge it can last up to 18 hours while if you need a more grounded approach, it also comes with a 3.5mm backup jack ensuring your music is not interrupted. The adjustable EQ setting allows you to change between a balanced mode and a bass boosted mode. Couple that with a foldable design, it is basically ready to go right out of the box. Let’s not forget it also has a 10m wireless range meaning you are given a rather wide berth in terms of headspace.
During our time with the Plantronic BackBeat GO 605, we find that the headphones actually deliver quite a punch to it. The bass was deep and the acoustic was clear. Regardless of the tunes, we had a wonderful experience with the BackBeat GO 605 regardless of whether we are wireless or plugged in. The memory foam earmuffs were also a pleasure to put on especially during long hours of use as it does not irritate our ears nor does it feel to snuggish.
One of the things we noticed from the headphones is how sturdy they feel when compared to some of the other wireless headphones on the market, which has a rather plasticky finish, this headphones feel solid and durable.
The Plantronic BackBeat Go 605 is definitely a must have for those who wants a wireless headset that provides perfect balance of bass and acoustics to both ears.
