Coming soon on April 2018, ROG Conquest, Penang State Championship 2018 serves as an arena for aspiring gamers to compete with a total pool of 64 Dota teams. Surviving contenders will battle out each other for the total prize pool of RM 20,000 during the tournament’s Grand Final on 28th- 29th April 2018, which will be held at The Top, Komtar, Penang.
Along with the Penang new initiative of building a healthy eSports scene among the youth generation, ROG aims to provide multiple platforms such as ROG Masters, ROG Join The Republic, and the new ROG Conquest for Malaysian gamer enthusiast to gather and witness the journey of each champion.
“Malaysia eSports player has been at the forefront of major international competitions, focused state championship will be the necessary programs to accommodate the growing talent pools in each state,” Leo Tseng, Country Manager of ASUS Malaysia.

Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) as one of the event organiser and is supported by Penang ICT Association (PICTA).
“With the budget allocation of RM1 million from Penang state Government, PYDC as the executor will be providing the opportunity and platform to promote Esports as one of the youth initiatives. Esports is viewed as an opportunity for our youth to be more actively involving in science and technology sector; while encouraging them to think scientifically and act physically,” said Teng Kok Liang, CEO of PYDC.
